Photos of the Gallery Montgomery Potters has been informed the McCrillis Gardens and Gallery will no longer be available for gallery exhibits. The decision to discontinue gallery exhibits seems to contradict the stated purpose of this institution, as well as the name of this institution. McCrillis Gardens and Gallery has hosted the Montgomery Potters juried show for eighteen years. This year alone, the McCrillis Gardens and Gallery displayed the following exhibits: Bunny Lundy Studio, Photographs & Autographs, Montgomery County Art Association, Fabric Arts, Senior Arts Alliance, Silver Spring Camera Club, Women's Art Exchange, Montgomery Potters, and Docents Exhibition. Important exhibits, such as these, will no longer be available to the public without the McCrillis Gardens and Gallery. Instead the gallery space will be used to conduct art classes, despite the many facilities already available at community centers, local community colleges, and Brookside Gardens. If you would like gallery exhibits at McCrillis Gardens and Gallery to continue, please let our County Executive and Council, and David Vismara at Brookside Gardens know.
